Angkor Day Two

Saturday, December 26 – Our tour guide was incredible. While his English was far from perfect, he was certainly not difficult to understand, and he shared his vast knowledge of Angkor history with us. Plus he had worked for a photographer, so he knew of many interesting and out-of-the-way spots to take good photos – a definite bonus. It was worth every penny we paid for his services.

On Day two he took us to Ta Prohm (the temple where Tomb Raider was filmed) and to Banteay Srey – a bit out-of-the-way, but worth the drive.

We were a bit “templed out” by the end of the tour, but the whole area is so fascinating – with beautiful architecture and a long and complex history. We both feel so privileged to have had this opportunity.
