Monday, December 7 - There’s very little that I’m craving foodwise that Junkii isn’t craving too, but one of those things is Penang-style Lor Mee. Honestly, I don’t even know what it is, except to say it’s noodle soup with incredibly rich broth with some pork thrown in for good measure. I had it once on the last visit in Ipoh, then tried to have it again in Singapore, but it was a pale imitation.
Well on Monday we got back to the hawker in Ipoh that makes it and I was in heaven. It was as good as I remembered and I need to hit that stall at least once more before I head home.
