Monday, December 7 - For the next few days we’re gonna be touring the country. We’re headed south to Kuala Lumpur (and the nearby community of Klang) for a couple of days to visit with Junkii’s best friend growing up – Meei. We’re gonna look for Klang’s famous seafood, Bak Kut Teh, Malaysian and Indonesian food. And hopefully hit the streets of Chinatown in KL to pick up some knock off designer watches.
Then we’re gonna turn North to the island of Langkawi and a little beach getaway. The Island also houses a couple of other interesting sights, including a skybridge that looks fascinating.
After that, it’s off to nearby Penang for a day and a half to check out the second-biggest city in Malaysia, and what I’m told is a really great night market. We’ll see.
Have fun in Langkawi. It was almost exactly this time last year that I was there. There were huge jellyfish on the beach. If you have time I suggest checking out the 7 wells waterfalls (there were lots of crazy monkeys and it's a great workout walking up to them).
ReplyDeleteJellyfish can be painful... but it's interesting to see them washed up on the shore. Thanks for the suggestion, we'll make sure to bring our hiking shoes.
ReplyDeleteHey you two... although such high tech activity as a blog is kinda against my religion, I have been reading along and enjoying your stories! Strangely, I think I know more about what you are doing day to day then when I see Ron everyday at the office... Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you along for the ride - and that you're expanding your horizons. Say hi to the office folk for me and let them know i haven't given a thought to work at all!
