Saturday, December 12 - Tonight we hit the hawker stalls on Gurney drive in Georgetown. Stall upon stall of street food. It was like heaven for foodies like us.
That picture you had showing the "tophats" or pie tees? those are fantastic party food. get a mold or 2 and you can make them easily in canada. the filling and chilli is almost foolproff to make. and can be made up to 2 days in adance.
Im with Mum on the squid.....not sure I could have gone down that street- sorry.....Im glad you arent traveling me me! I may be a little too claustrophobic and too picky for you guys.....
We've tried something similar for party food, thing is these shells tend to get soggy if not eaten quickly. It seems to me you already know how to make these, maybe you should teach us when we see you later this week!
We didn't get any of the squids either. The interesting fact is the seafood here is not at all smelly, because they're so fresh. I'm surprised to see Ron eating and liking so much fish and seafood.
